Intermitent Brain Dribbles

I hope I have the discipline to put something into this on a regular basis. I think as a routine journal of sorts it has a lot of merit, including that I won't accidently throw it away. Hopefully the public scrutiny won't haunt me...

Humidity

The usually clear and brilliant Colorado sky was hazed in this morning. I like it like this- although perhaps prefer it somewhat warmer. The grass is soo burned out from winter and the dryness that this morning gives me thoughts of the grass feeling protected from the burning of the sun, and maybe the hope of dew, moisture being added to the soil, suckled by sub-terranian capillary action, into the waking roots of dormant stems of grass.

Spring, long in coming, can be wound up like a coil with enough of the right things over the winter- enough water mostly. With out enough right things through this time of year, and too many wrong ones (like additional heat, extra sun shine) the unwinding of spring is like the pitiful flailing of a windup alarm clock with too few turns made the night before- bound to go unnoticed and soon to be missed, and that with some alarm.

Not venting about politics

Is it childish to vent about politics? If so, under what circumstances?

Take For example, Tom Delay. This man is a dreadful, vicious, partisan, ignorant, bottom-feeding, scum-sucker who got into politics because as a person in the pest-control industry he was outraged that the government wouldn't let him poison things with anything he wanted to.

This sub-human is bitching about how awful it is to be the target of various ethics investigations. This is the same man who has instigated some of the most viciously partisan moves in modern political history- for example, while in the House of Representavies in Washington this guy orchestrated the actions of the Texas state legislature to redistrict (between census takes!) and broke up liberal strongholds to hugely sway the legistative balance in favor of his own party. This guy has all the intrest in fairness as did Stalin or Polpot. The motto of the right wing in this country is "Fair is fair unless it goes against us in which case our opposition is an incarnation of the devil himself".

These ass-clown think that the 10 Commandmnets are the basis of the US legal system. Interestingly, none of these people are themselves Jewish. The have no knowledge of the history of the British legal system which is Christian influenced but based in Roman and later English law, especially Magna Carta which made the highest law in the land the law itself- not the King.

Conservatives seem to desire a king- someone who has unlimited power and soveriegnty and who is infallible (in their eyes) that they may bow to him and say "Lead us, oh great C-student with a politically connected family. Lead us with your great business accumen that resulted in every company you ran being corrupt and unprofitable. Smite the heathen who think your hipocracy is something that should besmirch your name or greatness, and that hipocracy even applies to you who God has chosen as our leader, even as God appointed Saul and David."

These people should not even be allowed to vote!
